Marks of the 2019 Model Year

The 2019 model year for the Chevrolet Camaro is marked with the introduction of the new 1LE handling package that is assigned for the turbo-4 models as standard and made available for all engines as optional. The Camaro also wears revised look both at the front and rear, while on the infotainment front, the system is upgraded with a new software. The performance is enhanced with the launching of a new 10-speed automatic transmission for the base model that runs on a V-8 engine, while Chevrolet heightens the safety score with a new rear view mirror camera, and forward-collision warnings.

The styling enhancement that Chevrolet has bestowed upon the 2019 edition of Camaro, includes three new attire option for the front end, depending upon the trim level you choose. Apart from that, there is also a new rear fascia, new wheel design options and revised taillights that are listed in it.

Trims and Powertrains

The 2019 lineup of Chevrolet Camaro counts LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1 trim levels that are available either in coupe or in convertible body styles. The powertrains assigned to the trim levels are as follows:

The LS and LT models are powered by a 275-hp making 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine and this comes as standard, though the LT trim can be opted with a more powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine that creates 335-hp. The SS trim buyers are eligible to ride a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that makes 455 of hp, while the ZL1s models are made to rule the roads with their supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engines that can blast out a hefty 650 hp. All the engines are given 6-speed manual transmission, while the 4- and 6-cylinder ones are offered an 8-speed automatic. The models that run on V-8 engines are offered the option to avail a 10-speed automatic transmission.

All the trim models of the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro were essentially quick. Among the entire lineup we chose the turbo-4 model to test drive at the Chevy Moscow dealership that launched a speed to 60 mph in only 5.4 seconds, and we were told by the experts there that the V-6 models does the same in 5.0 seconds, while the base V-8 counts it within 4.0 seconds and the ZL1 requires only 3.5.

Drive and Ride Comfort

The ride comfort is commensurate to that of drive comfort in the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, and even the base models ensure enough of it, so climbing higher the ladder of price will automatically promise more.
