It’s about halfway through 2019, which means it’s time to grab your calendar and make your plans to attend the top car shows of 2020. Check out this list of three of next year’s most anticipated car shows that’ll have you want to start packing your suitcase today.

  1. 21st Annual Syracuse Nationals

Syracuse Nationals, dubbed the “Largest Car Show in the Northeast,” should be on every classic car enthusiast’s bucket list. Held in July at the New York State Fairgrounds, this three-day event has a packed schedule. Thousands of muscle, classic, antique and custom cars and street rods will be on display vying for the top awards. For more activities, head over to the stage to jam to live music, or discover new products, including exhaust systems for cars and trucks, at the vendor booths.

In 2018, around 8,200 cars; more than 650 campers; and close to 95,000 attendees descended on Syracuse from 34 states and 6 Canadian provinces. Coming to the show is also a way for you to help others. Since its beginning in 1999, Syracuse Nationals has collected $1.4 million for charity, with $95,000 coming in 2018 alone.

  1. Iola Car Show

Iola, Wisconsin, has a population of only 1,300, but don’t let that fool you; each July, Iola hosts one of the biggest and best car shows in the country. It’s three days of everything a car enthusiast dreams of. On 300 acres, you’ll find 4,200 swap spaces; 2,500 cars for show; 1,600 camper spaces; and 1,000 car corral spaces. Remember to stop by the stage for free concerts, and purchase everything you need, from performance catalytic converters to mufflers, from one of the many vendors.

Bus service, Wi-Fi and parking are all free to help you have a stress-free visit. Kids under 12 years old get in free, too, so bring the whole family out for an affordable day of fun. In addition to saving money, you can also win money by participating in the poster contest. Simply send in a photo that has to do with the Iola Car Show, and you could win $500 and have your photo entry featured on the Iola Car Show posters.

  1. Hot August Nights

August in Nevada means one thing — the Hot August Nights car show. The cities of Sparks, Virginia City and Reno join forces for this six-day car show, called the “Largest Nostalgic Car Show in the World.” This isn’t just a car show, though. Every day from dawn until dusk, there’s also free concerts, awards, giveaways, seminars, cruise-ins and vendors selling exhaust kits for cars and trucks and other classic car parts and accessories. People come from all over for this one-of-a-kind experience, and past crowds have topped 800,000.

The 2020 event is scheduled for August 4 through August 9, so get your tickets today and prepare to head west for a car show you’ll never forget.
